1. Количество товара (Commodity), которое осталось от одного урожая до второго. Цена некоторых товаров, например зерна, кофе, какао и джута, которые собираются ежегодно или раз в два года, определяется спросом и предложением. Предложение состоит из урожая нынешнего года и количества товара, оставшегося у производителей и торговцев от прошлого урожая. Таким образом, при некоторых обстоятельствах переходящий запас может весьма значительно влиять на рыночные цены.
2. Перенос оплаты ценных бумаг с одного расчетного дня на другой. См. также: contango (контанго).
